Receiving fresh flowers is a very exciting and special moment, but it makes it even better when they last long!
Here are a few do’s and dont’s that our team of dedicated flower lovers has learned through the years:
1. Always always (always!) cut the stems of all of your flowers at least half an inch and at an angle. Flower stems close up when they are out of water for some time and cutting them helps them open up and absorb water better.
2. Before placing your fresh flowers in water, remove any leaves that will be in the water. This helps keep the water clean for longer, helping your beautiful roses last longer.
3. Keeping the water clean is essential to a long lasting floral life. Try to replace it every 2-3 days. Keep them in cool temperatures and away from any windows.
4. Now its time to enjoy these blooming and colorful roses for the next couple of days!

Flowers and Services started from an idea in 1988 in Bogota, Colombia. How can buying fresh flowers be easier and cheaper? Thats when we started directly picking fresh flowers up from the farms and distributing them to flower lovers. We are proud to say we continue to be family run business with locations in Florida and Puerto Rico.
